How To Install lua-ldoc on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install lua-ldoc on Kali Linux.
What is lua-ldoc
lua-ldoc is:
LDoc is a LuaDoc-compatible documentation generation system for Lua source code. It parses the declaration and documentation comments in a set of Lua source files and produces a set of XHTML pages describing the commented declarations and functions.
There are three methods to install lua-ldoc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lua-ldoc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lua-ldoc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install lua-ldocInstall lua-ldoc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lua-ldoc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install lua-ldocInstall lua-ldoc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lua-ldoc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install lua-ldocHow To Uninstall lua-ldoc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the lua-ldoc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove lua-ldocUninstall lua-ldoc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall lua-ldoc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove lua-ldocRemove lua-ldoc Configurations and Data
To remove lua-ldoc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge lua-ldocRemove lua-ldoc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove lua-ldoc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge lua-ldocDependencies
