How To Install ltpanel on Ubuntu 20.04

What is ltpanel
ltpanel is:
ltpanel is a lightweight window list for the X Window System, similar to GNOME’s window list applet. It has been tested on IceWM and fvwm. It should work with any GNOME-compliant Window Manager and is based on Peter Zelezny’s fspanel.
There are three methods to install ltpanel
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install ltpanel Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install ltpanel
using apt-get

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ltpanel
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ltpanel
Install ltpanel Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ltpanel
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ltpanel
How To Uninstall ltpanel on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the ltpanel
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ltpanel
Uninstall ltpanel And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ltpanel
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ltpanel
Remove ltpanel Configurations and Data
To remove ltpanel
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ltpanel
