How To Install lshw-gtk on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install lshw-gtk on Kali Linux.
What is lshw-gtk
lshw-gtk is:
A small tool to provide detailed information on the hardware configuration of the machine. It can report exact memory configuration, firmware version, mainboard configuration, CPU version and speed, cache configuration, bus speed, etc. on DMI-capable x86 systems, on some PowerPC machines (PowerMac G4 is known to work) and AMD64.
This package provides lshw-gtk (the GTK+ version)
There are three methods to install lshw-gtk on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lshw-gtk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lshw-gtk using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install lshw-gtkInstall lshw-gtk Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lshw-gtk using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install lshw-gtkInstall lshw-gtk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lshw-gtk using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install lshw-gtkHow To Uninstall lshw-gtk on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the lshw-gtk package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove lshw-gtkUninstall lshw-gtk And Its Dependencies
To uninstall lshw-gtk and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove lshw-gtkRemove lshw-gtk Configurations and Data
To remove lshw-gtk configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge lshw-gtkRemove lshw-gtk configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove lshw-gtk configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
