How To Install logtop on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install logtop on Kali Linux.
What is logtop
logtop is:
logtop is a System Administrator tool to analyze line rate taking log file as input. It reads on stdin and print a constantly updated result using curses, displaying in columns: Line number, count, frequency, and the actual line.
$ tail -f FILE | logtop is the friendly version of: $ watch ’tail FILE | sort | uniq -c | sort -gr'
There are three methods to install logtop on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install logtop Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install logtop using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install logtopInstall logtop Using apt
