What is log4c
Log4c is a C language library for flexible logging to files, syslog and other destinations. It is modeled after the Log for Java library (log4j), staying as close to their API as is reasonable.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install log4c
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install log4c.
Install log4c on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install log4c
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install log4c
Install log4c on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install log4c
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install log4c
How To Uninstall log4c on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the log4c
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove log4c
