How To Install lizardfs-client on Ubuntu 18.04

What is lizardfs-client
lizardfs-client is:
LizardFS FUSE mount utility “mfsmount” and client tool “mfstools”.
LizardFS is a reliable, scalable and efficient distributed file system. It spreads data over a number of physical servers, making it visible to an end user as a single file system.
Functions such as data replication, checksums, instant snapshots and easy connection of additional servers make LizardFS a perfect solution for users who need fault-proof storage ready for future expansion. LizardFS features include:

- POSIX Access Control Lists and POSIX Extended Attributes.
- I/O bandwidth limiting.
LizardFS can be used whenever one needs to store large quantities of data in a secure way and process them swiftly. LizardFS is a fork of MooseFS.
There are three methods to install lizardfs-client on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lizardfs-client Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install lizardfs-client using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install lizardfs-client
Install lizardfs-client Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install lizardfs-client using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install lizardfs-client
Install lizardfs-client Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install lizardfs-client using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install lizardfs-client
How To Uninstall lizardfs-client on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the lizardfs-client package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove lizardfs-client
Uninstall lizardfs-client And Its Dependencies
To uninstall lizardfs-client and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove lizardfs-client
Remove lizardfs-client Configurations and Data
To remove lizardfs-client configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge lizardfs-client
Remove lizardfs-client configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove lizardfs-client configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge lizardfs-client
