How To Install lighttpd-mod-geoip on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install lighttpd-mod-geoip on Kali Linux.
What is lighttpd-mod-geoip
lighttpd-mod-geoip is:
This package contains the geoip module for lighttpd. With this module, it is possible to distinguish users based on the location using a GeoIP database.
This module is deprecated and will be removed in Debian 12 Bookworm. Legacy GeoIP databases will not be available from upstream after May 2022. Instead, use mod_maxminddb, which uses GeoIP2 databases.
There are three methods to install lighttpd-mod-geoip on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lighttpd-mod-geoip Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lighttpd-mod-geoip using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lighttpd-mod-geoip using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To remove lighttpd-mod-geoip configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
