What is light-locker
light-locker is a simple locker (forked from gnome-screensaver) that aims to have simple, sane, secure defaults and be well integrated with the desktop while not carrying any desktop- specific dependencies. It relies on lightdm for locking and unlocking your session.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install light-locker
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install light-locker.
Install light-locker on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install light-locker
using yum
