How To Install libyami-dev on Kali Linux

What is libyami-dev
libyami-dev is:
Video Acceleration API (VA API) is a library (“libVA”) and API specification which enables and provides access to graphics hardware (GPU) acceleration for video processing on Linux and UNIX based operating systems. Accelerated processing includes video decoding, video encoding, subpicture blending and rendering. libyami builds on top of libva, and provides high level API for video processing. It will help with bitstream parsing, reference frame management, etc.
This package provides the development files for libyami.
There are three methods to install libyami-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libyami-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libyami-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libyami-devInstall libyami-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libyami-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libyami-devInstall libyami-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libyami-dev using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the libyami-dev package we can use the following command:
