How To Install libxv-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libxv-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libxv-dev
libxv-dev is:
libXv provides an X Window System client interface to the XVideo extension to the X protocol.
The XVideo extension allows for accelerated drawing of videos. Hardware adaptors are exposed to clients, which may draw in a number of colourspaces, including YUV.
This package contains the development headers for the library found in libxv1. Non-developers likely have little use for this package.

There are three methods to install libxv-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libxv-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libxv-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libxv-devInstall libxv-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libxv-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libxv-devInstall libxv-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libxv-dev package we can use the following command:
