In this tutorial we learn how to install libxpp3-java on Kali Linux.

What is libxpp3-java

libxpp3-java is:

Xml Pull Parser (in short XPP) is a streaming pull XML parser for java. This version XPP3 is a successor of XPP2 (see package libxpp2-java) that implements XmlPull API (see http://www.xmlpull.org).

However XPP3 currently supports only parsing and does not support incremental node tree from XPP2.

There are three methods to install libxpp3-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libxpp3-java Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libxpp3-java using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libxpp3-java

Install libxpp3-java Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libxpp3-java using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libxpp3-java

Install libxpp3-java Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libxpp3-java using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libxpp3-java

How To Uninstall libxpp3-java on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the libxpp3-java package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libxpp3-java

Uninstall libxpp3-java And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libxpp3-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libxpp3-java

Remove libxpp3-java Configurations and Data

To remove libxpp3-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libxpp3-java

Remove libxpp3-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
