How To Install libxmp4 on Ubuntu 18.04

libxmp is a library designed to interpret module files and produce PCM audio. It supports over 90 formats including Protracker (MOD), Scream Tracker 3 (S3M), Fast Tracker II (XM) and Impulse Tracker (IT).

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libxmp4 using apt by running the following command:

Install libxmp4 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libxmp4 using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libxmp4

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libxmp4
Remove libxmp4 Configurations and Data
To remove libxmp4 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libxmp4
