How To Install libxml2-utils on Debian 11

What is libxml2-utils
libxml2-utils is:
XML is a metalanguage to let you design your own markup language. A regular markup language defines a way to describe information in a certain class of documents (eg HTML). XML lets you define your own customized markup languages for many classes of document. It can do this because it’s written in SGML, the international standard metalanguage for markup languages.
This package provides xmllint, a tool for validating and reformatting XML documents, and xmlcatalog, a tool to parse and manipulate XML or SGML catalog files.
There are three methods to install libxml2-utils on Debian 11. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libxml2-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libxml2-utils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libxml2-utils

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

Install libxml2-utils Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libxml2-utils using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libxml2-utils
How To Uninstall libxml2-utils on Debian 11
To uninstall only the libxml2-utils package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libxml2-utils
Uninstall libxml2-utils And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libxml2-utils and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 11, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libxml2-utils
Remove libxml2-utils Configurations and Data
To remove libxml2-utils configuration and data from Debian 11 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libxml2-utils
