How To Install libxi-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libxi-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libxi-dev
libxi-dev is:
libXi provides an X Window System client interface to the XINPUT extension to the X protocol.
The Input extension allows setup and configuration of multiple input devices, and hotplugging of input devices (to be added and removed on the fly).
This package contains the development headers for the library found in libxi6. Non-developers likely have little use for this package.

There are three methods to install libxi-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libxi-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libxi-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libxi-devInstall libxi-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libxi-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libxi-devInstall libxi-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libxi-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libxi-devHow To Uninstall libxi-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libxi-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libxi-devUninstall libxi-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libxi-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libxi-devRemove libxi-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libxi-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
