How To Install libxc-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libxc-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libxc-dev
libxc-dev is:
LibXC is a library of exchange-correlation (XC) functionals for density-functional theory (DFT). The aim is to provide a portable, well tested and reliable set of exchange and correlation functionals that can be used by other codes.
This package contains the static library, the C headers and the Fortran modules necessary for developers.
There are three methods to install libxc-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libxc-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libxc-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libxc-devInstall libxc-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libxc-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libxc-dev using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the libxc-dev package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libxc-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libxc-devRemove libxc-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libxc-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libxc-devRemove libxc-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
