How To Install libxbase64-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libxbase64-dev
libxbase64-dev is:
Xbase (formerly known as xdb, also formerly known as xBase) is a collection of specifiations, programs, utilities and a C++ class library for manipulating Xbase type datafiles and indices.
Xbase is useful for accessing data in legacy dBase 3 and 4 database files as well as a general light-weight database engine. It includes support for DBF (dBase version 3 and 4) data files, NDX and NTX indexes, and DBT (dBase version 3 and 4). It supports file and record locking under *nix OS’s.
This package contains development files for Xbase and documentation distributed with Xbase.
There are three methods to install libxbase64-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libxbase64-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libxbase64-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libxbase64-dev
How To Uninstall libxbase64-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libxbase64-dev package we can use the following command:

We can use the following command to remove libxbase64-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
