How To Install libx86-1 on Kali Linux

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install libx86-1 on Kali Linux.

What is libx86-1

libx86-1 is:

A library to provide support for making real-mode calls x86 calls. On x86 hardware, vm86 mode is used. On other platforms, x86 emulation is provided.

This package contains the shared library.

There are three methods to install libx86-1 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libx86-1 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libx86-1 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libx86-1

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update
