How To Install libwinpr2-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libwinpr2-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libwinpr2-dev
libwinpr2-dev is:
WinPR is a spin-off project of FreeRDP which aims at providing a portable implementation of important portions of the Windows API. Just like FreeRDP, WinPR is released under the Apache license. Unlike Wine, WinPR does not provide binary compatibility, and does not require applications to be built for Windows. Instead, WinPR provides API compatibility for applications targeting non-Windows environments. When on Windows, the original native API is being used instead of the equivalent WinPR implementation, without having to modify the code using it.
This package contains the WinPR development files.
There are three methods to install libwinpr2-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libwinpr2-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libwinpr2-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libwinpr2-devInstall libwinpr2-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libwinpr2-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libwinpr2-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libwinpr2-devHow To Uninstall libwinpr2-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libwinpr2-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libwinpr2-devUninstall libwinpr2-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libwinpr2-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libwinpr2-devRemove libwinpr2-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libwinpr2-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libwinpr2-devRemove libwinpr2-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libwinpr2-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
