How To Install libvte9 on Ubuntu 18.04

libvte9 is:
The VTE library provides a terminal emulator widget VteTerminal for applications using the GTK+ toolkit. It also provides the VtePTY object containing functions for starting a new process on a new pseudo-terminal and for manipulating pseudo-terminals.
This package contains the runtime library, needed by programs using the VTE widget with GTK+ 2.0.
There are three methods to install libvte9 on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libvte9 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

To uninstall only the libvte9 package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libvte9 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libvte9
Remove libvte9 Configurations and Data
To remove libvte9 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libvte9
Remove libvte9 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
