How To Install libundertow-java on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libundertow-java

Undertow is a flexible performant web server written in Java, providing both blocking and non-blocking APIs based on NIO.
Undertow has a composition based architecture that allows you to build a web server by combining small single purpose handlers. This gives you the flexibility to choose between a full Java EE servlet 3.1 container, or a low level non-blocking handler, to anything in between.

There are three methods to install libundertow-java on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libundertow-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libundertow-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libundertow-java
Install libundertow-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libundertow-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libundertow-java
Install libundertow-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libundertow-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libundertow-java
How To Uninstall libundertow-java on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libundertow-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libundertow-java
Uninstall libundertow-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libundertow-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libundertow-java
Remove libundertow-java Configurations and Data
To remove libundertow-java configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libundertow-java
Remove libundertow-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libundertow-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libundertow-java
