How To Install libtwolame-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libtwolame-dev
libtwolame-dev is:
TwoLAME is an optimized MPEG Audio Layer 2 (MP2) encoder. It is based on tooLAME by Mike Cheng, which in turn is based upon the ISO dist10 code and portions of LAME.
TwoLAME does NOT support MPEG Audio Layer 3 (MP3) encoding due to patent issues surrounding MP3.
However, as most MPEG Audio players are able to play layer 2 (MP2) files, TwoLAME makes a very good drop-in replacement for LAME and other layer 3 encoders.
This package contains the static library and header files.
There are three methods to install libtwolame-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libtwolame-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libtwolame-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libtwolame-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libtwolame-dev
How To Uninstall libtwolame-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libtwolame-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libtwolame-dev
Uninstall libtwolame-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libtwolame-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtwolame-dev
Remove libtwolame-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libtwolame-dev configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libtwolame-dev
Remove libtwolame-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libtwolame-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libtwolame-dev
