How To Install libtut-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libtut-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libtut-dev
libtut-dev is:
TUT is a unit test framework for C++, written in pure C++. It makes use of C++ templates to reduce the responsibilities of the user and provide an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. Unlike other test unit frameworks for C++, TUT doesn’t use macros, since their usage conceals actual implementation and (what’s worse) can interfere with client application.
TUT completely fits into a single header file. No library compilation is required, thus a lot of portability problems are avoided and integration with client code is very simple.
There are three methods to install libtut-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libtut-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtut-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libtut-devInstall libtut-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtut-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libtut-devInstall libtut-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtut-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libtut-devHow To Uninstall libtut-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libtut-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libtut-devUninstall libtut-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libtut-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtut-devRemove libtut-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libtut-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libtut-devRemove libtut-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libtut-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
