How To Install libtss2-dev on Debian 12

In this tutorial we learn how to install libtss2-dev
on Debian 12.
What is libtss2-dev
libtss2-dev is:
TPM2.0 TSS (Software Stack) consists of API layers provided to support TPM 2.0 chips. It is made out of three layers:
- Enhanced System API (ESAPI)
- System API (SAPI), which implements the system layer API;
- Marshaling/Unmarshaling (MU)
- TPM Command Transmission Interface (TCTI), which is used by SAPI to allow communication with the TAB/RM layer;
This package contains development files for use when writing applications that need access to TPM chips.
There are three methods to install libtss2-dev
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libtss2-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libtss2-dev

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libtss2-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libtss2-dev
How To Uninstall libtss2-dev on Debian 12
To uninstall only the libtss2-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libtss2-dev
Uninstall libtss2-dev And Its Dependencies

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtss2-dev
Remove libtss2-dev Configurations and Data

configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
