How To Install libtf-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libtf-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libtf-dev
libtf-dev is:
tf is a package that lets the user keep track of multiple coordinate frames over time. tf maintains the relationship between coordinate frames in a tree structure buffered in time, and lets the user transform points, vectors, etc between any two coordinate frames at any desired point in time.
This package contains the development files of tf library.
There are three methods to install libtf-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libtf-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtf-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libtf-devInstall libtf-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtf-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libtf-devInstall libtf-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtf-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libtf-devHow To Uninstall libtf-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libtf-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libtf-devUninstall libtf-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libtf-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtf-devRemove libtf-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libtf-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libtf-devRemove libtf-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libtf-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libtf-devDependencies
