How To Install libtango-doc on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install libtango-doc on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is libtango-doc
libtango-doc is:
TANGO is an object-oriented distributed control system using CORBA. In TANGO all objects are representations of devices, which can be on the same computer or distributed over a network. Communication between devices uses CORBA and can be synchronous, asynchronous or event driven.
The object model in TANGO supports methods, attributes and properties. TANGO provides an API which hides all the details of network access and provides object browsing, discovery, and security features. Permanent data is stored in a MySQL/MariaDB database.
TANGO is being actively developed as a collaborative effort between the ESRF (www.esrf.eu), Soleil (synchrotron-soleil.fr), Alba (www.cells.es), and Elettra institutes (www.elettra.trieste.it).
This package contains the documentation for the libtango9 library.
There are three methods to install libtango-doc on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libtango-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libtango-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libtango-doc
Install libtango-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libtango-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libtango-doc
Install libtango-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libtango-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libtango-doc
How To Uninstall libtango-doc on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libtango-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libtango-doc
Uninstall libtango-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libtango-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtango-doc
Remove libtango-doc Configurations and Data
To remove libtango-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libtango-doc
Remove libtango-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libtango-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libtango-doc
