How To Install libtango-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libtango-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libtango-dev
libtango-dev is:
TANGO is an object-oriented distributed control system using CORBA. In TANGO all objects are representations of devices, which can be on the same computer or distributed over a network. Communication between devices uses CORBA and can be synchronous, asynchronous or event driven.
The object model in TANGO supports methods, attributes and properties. TANGO provides an API which hides all the details of network access and provides object browsing, discovery, and security features. Permanent data is stored in a MySQL/MariaDB database.
TANGO is being actively developed as a collaborative effort between the ESRF (www.esrf.eu), Soleil (synchrotron-soleil.fr), Alba (www.cells.es), and Elettra institutes (www.elettra.trieste.it).
This package contains the tango9 development files.
There are three methods to install libtango-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libtango-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtango-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libtango-devInstall libtango-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtango-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libtango-devInstall libtango-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libtango-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libtango-devHow To Uninstall libtango-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libtango-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libtango-devUninstall libtango-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libtango-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libtango-devRemove libtango-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libtango-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libtango-devRemove libtango-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libtango-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libtango-devDependencies
