What is libss
This is libss, a command line interface parsing library, part of e2fsprogs. This package includes a tool that parses a command table to generate a simple command-line interface parser, the include files needed to compile and use it. It was originally inspired by the Multics SubSystem library.
We can use yum or dnf to install libss on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libss.
Install libss on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libss using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libss
Install libss on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libss using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libss
How To Uninstall libss on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the libss package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libss
