How To Install libsliplu1 on Debian 12
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libsliplu1 on Debian 12.
What is libsliplu1
libsliplu1 is:
Suitesparse is a collection of libraries for computations involving sparse matrices.
SLIP LU is a software package designed to exactly solve unsymmetric sparse linear systems, Ax = b, where A, b and x contain rational numbers. This package performs a left-looking, roundoff-error-free (REF) LU factorization PAQ = LDU, where L and U are integer, D is diagonal, and P and Q are row and column permutations, respectively. Note that the matrix D is never explicitly computed nor needed; thus this package uses only the matrices L and U.
This package relies on GNU GMP and MPRF for exact arithmetic computations.
There are three methods to install libsliplu1 on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libsliplu1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libsliplu1 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libsliplu1
Install libsliplu1 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libsliplu1 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libsliplu1
Install libsliplu1 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libsliplu1 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libsliplu1
How To Uninstall libsliplu1 on Debian 12
To uninstall only the libsliplu1 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libsliplu1
Uninstall libsliplu1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libsliplu1 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libsliplu1
Remove libsliplu1 Configurations and Data
To remove libsliplu1 configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libsliplu1
Remove libsliplu1 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libsliplu1 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libsliplu1
Dependencies
libsliplu1 have the following dependencies:
