What is libslf4j-java

libslf4j-java is:

The Simple Logging Facade for Java (or SLF4J) is intended to serve as a simple facade for various logging APIs allowing to the end-user to plug in the desired implementation at deployment time. SLF4J also allows for a gradual migration path away from Apache Commons Logging (CL)

Logging API implementations can either choose to implement the SLF4J interfaces directly, e.g. logback or SimpleLogger. Alternatively, it is possible (and rather easy) to write SLF4J adapters for the given API implementation, e.g. Log4jLoggerAdapter or JDK14LoggerAdapter.

There are three methods to install libslf4j-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libslf4j-java Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libslf4j-java using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libslf4j-java

How To Uninstall libslf4j-java on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the libslf4j-java package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libslf4j-java

Uninstall libslf4j-java And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libslf4j-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libslf4j-java

Remove libslf4j-java Configurations and Data

To remove libslf4j-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libslf4j-java
