How To Install libsip-api-java on Kali Linux

What is libsip-api-java

libsip-api-java is:

The SIP API specification provides a standard portable interface to share information between SIP Clients and SIP Servers, providing call control elements enabling converged-network applications.

This is a reimplementation of the JSR 32 specification due to a non-free license of the reference implementation.

There are three methods to install libsip-api-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libsip-api-java using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libsip-api-java

To uninstall only the libsip-api-java package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libsip-api-java

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libsip-api-java
