How To Install libscram-java on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libscram-java on Kali Linux.
What is libscram-java
libscram-java is:
SCRAM (Salted Challenge Response Authentication Mechanism) is part of the family of Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL, RFC 4422) authentication mechanisms. It is described as part of RFC 5802 and RFC 7677.
This project aims to provide a complete clean-room implementation of SCRAM. It is written in Java and provided in a modular, re-usable way, independent of other software or programs.
There are three methods to install libscram-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libscram-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libscram-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libscram-javaInstall libscram-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libscram-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libscram-javaInstall libscram-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libscram-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libscram-javaHow To Uninstall libscram-java on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libscram-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libscram-javaUninstall libscram-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libscram-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libscram-javaRemove libscram-java Configurations and Data
To remove libscram-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libscram-javaRemove libscram-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libscram-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libscram-javaDependencies
