How To Install libscn on Rocky Linux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libscn
on Rocky Linux 8.
What is libscn
scnlib is a modern C++ library for replacing scanf and std This library attempts to move us ever so closer to replacing iostreams and C stdio altogether. It’s faster than iostream (see Benchmarks) and type-safe, unlike scanf. Think {fmt} but in the other direction. This library is the reference implementation of the ISO C++ standards proposal P1729 “Text Parsing”.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libscn
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libscn.
Install libscn on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libscn
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libscn
Install libscn on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install libscn
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libscn
How To Uninstall libscn on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the libscn
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libscn
