How To Install libsaml2-dev on Debian 9

What is libsaml2-dev
libsaml2-dev is:
OpenSAML is an open source implementation of the OASIS Security Assertion Markup Language Specification. It contains a set of open source C++ classes that support the SAML 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 specifications.
This package contains the headers and other necessary files to build applications or libraries that use or extend the OpenSAML library.
There are three methods to install libsaml2-dev
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libsaml2-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libsaml2-dev
using apt-get

Update apt database with apt

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libsaml2-dev

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libsaml2-dev
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install libsaml2-dev
How To Uninstall libsaml2-dev on Debian 9
To uninstall only the libsaml2-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libsaml2-dev
Uninstall libsaml2-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libsaml2-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libsaml2-dev
Remove libsaml2-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libsaml2-dev
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libsaml2-dev
Remove libsaml2-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
