How To Install libsaml-dev on Debian 12

What is libsaml-dev
libsaml-dev is:
OpenSAML is an open source implementation of the OASIS Security Assertion Markup Language Specification. It contains a set of open source C++ classes that support the SAML 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0 specifications.
This package contains the headers and other necessary files to build applications or libraries that use or extend the OpenSAML library.
There are three methods to install libsaml-dev on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libsaml-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libsaml-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libsaml-dev using apt by running the following command:

Install libsaml-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libsaml-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libsaml-dev
How To Uninstall libsaml-dev on Debian 12
To uninstall only the libsaml-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libsaml-dev
Uninstall libsaml-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libsaml-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libsaml-dev
Remove libsaml-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libsaml-dev configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libsaml-dev
