How To Install libsam-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libsam-dev
libsam-dev is:
The Corosync Cluster Engine is a Group Communication System with additional features for implementing high availability within applications. The project provides four C Application Programming Interface features:
- A closed process group communication model with virtual synchrony guarantees for creating replicated state machines.
- A simple availability manager that restarts the application process when it has failed.
- A configuration and statistics in-memory database that provide the ability to set, retrieve, and receive change notifications of information.
- A quorum system that notifies applications when quorum is achieved or lost.
This package contains the headers and other necessary files to build applications or libraries that use the Simple Availability Manager library.
There are three methods to install libsam-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

After updating apt database, We can install libsam-dev using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall libsam-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libsam-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libsam-dev

To uninstall libsam-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libsam-dev

To remove libsam-dev configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libsam-dev
