How To Install libruli4-dev on Debian 9

In this tutorial we learn how to install libruli4-dev on Debian 9.
What is libruli4-dev
libruli4-dev is:
RULI stands for Resolver User Layer Interface. It’s a library built on top of an asynchronous DNS stub resolver. RULI provides an easy-to-use interface for querying DNS SRV resource records. The goal is to promote the wide deployment of SRV-cognizant client programs. RULI aims to fully support SRV-related standards.
This package contains the RULI development libraries and header files, required to develop and/or compile applications that use RULI.
There are three methods to install libruli4-dev on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libruli4-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libruli4-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libruli4-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libruli4-dev
