How To Install librsplib3 on Ubuntu 20.04

What is librsplib3
librsplib3 is:
Reliable Server Pooling (RSerPool) is the IETF’s standard (RFC 5351 to RFC 5356) for a lightweight server pool and session management framework. It provides highly available pool management (that is registration handling and load distribution/balancing) by components called Registrar and a client-side/server-side API for accessing the service of a pool.
The API library is provided by this package.
There are three methods to install librsplib3 on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install librsplib3 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install librsplib3 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install librsplib3
Install librsplib3 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install librsplib3 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install librsplib3
Install librsplib3 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install librsplib3 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install librsplib3
How To Uninstall librsplib3 on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the librsplib3 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove librsplib3
Uninstall librsplib3 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall librsplib3 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove librsplib3
Remove librsplib3 Configurations and Data
To remove librsplib3 configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge librsplib3
Remove librsplib3 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove librsplib3 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge librsplib3
