How To Install librpmem1-debug on Ubuntu 18.04

What is librpmem1-debug
librpmem1-debug is:
librpmem provides low-level support for remote access to persistent memory (pmem) utilizing RDMA-capable RNICs. The library can be used to replicate remotely a memory region over RDMA protocol. It utilizes appropriate persistency mechanism based on remote node’s platform capabilities. The librpmem utilizes the ssh client to authenticate a user on remote node and for encryption of connection’s out-of-band configuration data.
This library is for applications that use remote persistent memory directly, without the help of any library-supplied transactions or memory allocation. Higher-level libraries that build on libpmem are available and are recommended for most applications.
This package contains a special build of this library meant for debugging purposes. It contains extra logging, assertions and expensive checks that should not be used otherwise.
There are three methods to install librpmem1-debug on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install librpmem1-debug Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install librpmem1-debug using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install librpmem1-debug

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install librpmem1-debug using apt by running the following command:

Install librpmem1-debug Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall librpmem1-debug on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the librpmem1-debug package we can use the following command:

To uninstall librpmem1-debug and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove librpmem1-debug
Remove librpmem1-debug Configurations and Data
To remove librpmem1-debug configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge librpmem1-debug
Remove librpmem1-debug configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove librpmem1-debug configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge librpmem1-debug
