What is librem0

librem0 is:

A compact, portable and generic library for realtime audio and video processing.

Library has following features:

  • Audio buffering, mixing, codecs and resampling
  • Video mixing, rescaling and pixel format conversion

Library was designed with following goals:

  • Portable POSIX source code (ANSI C89 and ISO C99 standard)
  • Intelligent and user friendly APIs
  • Robust, fast, low memory footprint

There are three methods to install librem0 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install librem0 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install librem0 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install librem0

Install librem0 Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install librem0 using apt by running the following command:

Install librem0 Using aptitude
