How To Install libreadline-java on Debian 10

What is libreadline-java
libreadline-java is:
Included is the Java package org.gnu.readline which provides the GNU readline and BSD editline libraries for Java. Note that this is NOT a pure Java implementation; it merely contains JNI wrappers for the standard system libraries.
BSD editline resembles GNU readline but is under a more relaxed license. In some cases it can be used as a drop-in replacement for GNU readline when licensing issues prevent GNU readline from being used.

There are three methods to install libreadline-java
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get

Install libreadline-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libreadline-java
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libreadline-java

Install libreadline-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libreadline-java
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libreadline-java
How To Uninstall libreadline-java on Debian 10
To uninstall only the libreadline-java
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libreadline-java
Uninstall libreadline-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libreadline-java
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libreadline-java
Remove libreadline-java Configurations and Data
To remove libreadline-java
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libreadline-java
