How To Install libquazip-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is libquazip-dev
libquazip-dev is:
QuaZIP is a simple C++ wrapper over Gilles Vollant’s ZIP/UNZIP package that can be used to access ZIP archives. It uses Trolltech’s Qt toolkit.
QuaZIP allows you to access files inside ZIP archives using QIODevice API, and that means that you can also use QTextStream, QDataStream or whatever you would like to use on your zipped files.
QuaZIP provides complete abstraction of the ZIP/UNZIP API, for both reading from and writing to ZIP archives.
This package contains the development files.
QuaZIP is by default built using Qt4 libraries.
There are three methods to install libquazip-dev
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libquazip-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libquazip-dev
using apt-get

Update apt database with apt

After updating apt database, We can install libquazip-dev

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libquazip-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libquazip-dev
How To Uninstall libquazip-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libquazip-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libquazip-dev
Uninstall libquazip-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libquazip-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libquazip-dev
Remove libquazip-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libquazip-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libquazip-dev
Remove libquazip-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libquazip-dev
