libqt4-phonon is:
Qt is a cross-platform C++ application framework. Qt’s primary feature is its rich set of widgets that provide standard GUI functionality.
The Qt Phonon module provides a cross-platform multimedia framework that enables the use of audio and video content in Qt applications.
The sole purpose of this package to provide Phonon libraries until libphonon4 is built from the phonon source package. Therefore it’s only useful when bootstraping new architectures or rebuilding the whole archive from scratch.
There are three methods to install libqt4-phonon
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libqt4-phonon Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libqt4-phonon
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libqt4-phonon

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
