How To Install libpyml-ocaml on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libpyml-ocaml on Kali Linux.
What is libpyml-ocaml
libpyml-ocaml is:
py.ml provides OCaml bindings for Python. This library subsumes the pycaml library. Bindings are split in three modules:
- Py provides the initialization functions and some high-level bindings, with error handling and naming conventions closer to OCaml usages;
- Pycaml provides a signature close to the old Pycaml module, so as to ease migration;
- Pywrappers provides low-level bindings, which follow closely the conventions of the C bindings for Python. Submodules Pywrappers.Python2 and Pywrappers.Python3 contain version-specific bindings.
This package contains the runtime files.
There are three methods to install libpyml-ocaml on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libpyml-ocaml Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libpyml-ocaml using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libpyml-ocamlInstall libpyml-ocaml Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libpyml-ocaml using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libpyml-ocamlInstall libpyml-ocaml Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libpyml-ocaml using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libpyml-ocamlHow To Uninstall libpyml-ocaml on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libpyml-ocaml package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libpyml-ocamlUninstall libpyml-ocaml And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libpyml-ocaml and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libpyml-ocamlRemove libpyml-ocaml Configurations and Data
To remove libpyml-ocaml configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libpyml-ocamlRemove libpyml-ocaml configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libpyml-ocaml configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libpyml-ocamlDependencies
