What is libpulse-ocaml

This package provied an interface to the PulseAudio sound server for OCaml programmers.

PulseAudio, previously known as Polypaudio, is a sound server for POSIX and WIN32 systems. It is a drop in replacement for the ESD sound server with much better latency, mixing/re-sampling quality and overall architecture.

This package contains only the shared runtime stub libraries.

There are three methods to install libpulse-ocaml on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libpulse-ocaml Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libpulse-ocaml using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libpulse-ocaml

How To Uninstall libpulse-ocaml on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the libpulse-ocaml package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libpulse-ocaml

To uninstall libpulse-ocaml and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libpulse-ocaml

To remove libpulse-ocaml configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libpulse-ocaml

Remove libpulse-ocaml configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libpulse-ocaml configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libpulse-ocaml
