How To Install libpt-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04

This package contains the shared and static debug symbols of the library PTLib, which is a moderately large class library that has its genesis many years ago as a method to produce applications to run on both Microsoft Windows and Unix X-Window systems. This is not the debug compiled version of PTLib which would yield much more detailled information as a compromise of benefit and compile power consumption.
There are three methods to install libpt-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libpt-dbg Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libpt-dbg using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libpt-dbg using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libpt-dbg using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libpt-dbg
How To Uninstall libpt-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libpt-dbg package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libpt-dbg
Uninstall libpt-dbg And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libpt-dbg and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libpt-dbg

To remove libpt-dbg configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libpt-dbg

We can use the following command to remove libpt-dbg configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
