In this tutorial we learn how to install libpri on CentOS 7.

What is libpri

libpri is a C implementation of the Primary Rate ISDN specification. It was based on the Bellcore specification SR-NWT-002343 for National ISDN. As of May 12, 2001, it has been tested work to with NI-2, Nortel DMS-100, and Lucent 5E Custom protocols on switches from Nortel and Lucent.

We can use yum or dnf to install libpri on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libpri.

Install libpri on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install libpri using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install libpri

Install libpri on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install libpri using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install libpri

How To Uninstall libpri on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the libpri package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove libpri
