What is libpmemlog-debug
The libpmemlog library provides a pmem-resident log file. This library is provided for cases requiring an append-mostly file to record variable length entries. Most developers will find higher level libraries like libpmemobj to be more generally useful. This sub-package contains debug variant of the library, providing run-time assertions and trace points. The typical way to access the debug version is to set the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib64/pmdk_debug.
We can use yum or dnf to install libpmemlog-debug on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libpmemlog-debug.
Install libpmemlog-debug on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install libpmemlog-debug using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libpmemlog-debug
Install libpmemlog-debug on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install libpmemlog-debug using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libpmemlog-debug
How To Uninstall libpmemlog-debug on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the libpmemlog-debug package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libpmemlog-debug
