How To Install libplplot-lua on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libplplot-lua
libplplot-lua is:
PLplot is relatively small, portable, freely distributable, and is rich enough to satisfy most users. It has a wide range of plot types including line (linear, log), contour, 3D, fill, and almost 1000 characters (including Greek and mathematical) in its extended font set. The package is designed to make it easy to quickly get graphical output; only a handful of function calls is typically required. For more advanced use, virtually all aspects of plotting are configurable.
This package provides the Lua bindings for PLplot.
There are three methods to install libplplot-lua on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libplplot-lua Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libplplot-lua using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libplplot-lua

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libplplot-lua using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libplplot-lua
Install libplplot-lua Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libplplot-lua using aptitude by running the following command:

To remove libplplot-lua configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
