How To Install libplank1 on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is libplank1
libplank1 is:
Plank is a dock enabling you to start applications and manage your windows.
Plank is meant to be the simplest dock on the planet. The goal is to provide just what a dock needs and absolutely nothing more. It is, however, a library which can be extended to create other dock programs with more advanced features.
This package contains the shared library used by docks based on Plank.
There are three methods to install libplank1
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libplank1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libplank1
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libplank1
Install libplank1 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libplank1
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libplank1
Install libplank1 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libplank1
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libplank1
How To Uninstall libplank1 on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libplank1
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libplank1
Uninstall libplank1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libplank1
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libplank1
Remove libplank1 Configurations and Data
To remove libplank1
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libplank1
