How To Install libphat-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libphat-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libphat-dev
libphat-dev is:
The Persistent Homology Algorithm Toolox is a header-only C++ library for performing the filtered Z/2Z (co)boundary matrix operations commonly needed when computing (persistent) (co)homology in topological data analysis.
This package contains the header files. A standalone program exposing some of the features is available in phat-utils.
There are three methods to install libphat-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libphat-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libphat-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libphat-dev package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libphat-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libphat-devRemove libphat-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libphat-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
